Sunny Beach is easily accessible by public transport from both nearby and very distant foreign cities and is also close to a major international airport.

As it forms one group of very close towns with the surrounding resorts of Ravda, Pomorie, Sveti Vlas or Nessebar, travel between these towns is described in more detail in the Transport chapter.

By air

Burgas BOJ Airport is 33 km away from Sunny Beach, which means about 40 minutes by tourist bus organized by a tour operator.

Charter flights from all over Europe head to Burgas, but during the summer season you can also buy individual tickets here, especially with low-cost airlines Ryanair, Jet2 or easyJet.

You can buy very cheap tickets especially at the very beginning and end of the summer season.

Public transport from the airport to Sunny Beach

From the roundabout located about 250 metres from the terminal, you can go directly to the centre of Sunny Beach without changing buses.

Bus line 10 runs between Burgas and Nessebar with a stop at the airport every 40 minutes from about 6:00 am to midnight.

Bus 22 also runs from Sunny Beach to the centre of Burgas, but it does not go past the airport.

Intercity buses

The central bus station is located roughly in the middle of the town, a 10-minute walk from the beach. Here you will find ticket offices where you can purchase long-distance tickets. Tickets for regional services (including lines to Burgas) are bought from the conductor on the bus.

There is no information on which lines stop at each bus station. However, the bus station is small and long-distance buses always stop here for at least 3-5 minutes, so you can find your bus without any problems.
