Which Sunny Beach locations to stay in? Where are the best hotels and where would we recommend accommodation?
The Sunshine Coast is primarily a destination for travel agents, where you purchase a complete package of accommodation, return flights and airport transfers.
However, the resort also offers plenty of great options for individual travellers.
Tips for the best hotels
Sunny Beach is a compact resort about 5km long and just under 1km wide. There is no point in dividing the town into different districts, as they all look similar.
Hotels in Sunny Beach are mainly divided into categories "near the beach - far from the beach".
However, even from the most remote hotels you can walk to the beach within 15 minutes.
Hotels near the beach
Right on the beach we would choose from the following hotels:
- Prado Beach *** - a small, well rated hotel at the north end of the beach in a quieter area
- Hotel Venus *** - a very nice small hotel 70 metres from the beach right in the centre of town
- Hotel Residence Dune ***** - the most luxurious hotel in town is surrounded by the beach, has its own sunbeds and umbrellas for free for guests and the sea is only 20 metres from the reception
- Golden Rainbow Beach Hotel **** - large hotel on Cacao Beach in a quieter part of the resort

Hotels near the main street
Cheaper hotels with prices from 49 eur per night can be found mainly around the central main road, from which you can walk to the sea in about 15 minutes.
There are a large number of small and large hotels in this area, for which read other travellers' reviews consistently.
We recommend these hotels with good ratings.
- Barcelo Royal Beach ***** - A huge resort of a well-known brand offers very good prices especially at the beginning and end of the season
- Hotel Zaara *** - one of the cheapest, yet well rated hotels in the city located about 100 metres from the beach
- Hotel Avenue ** - small but very nice hotel with clean rooms and kitchenette 150 metres from the beach

How much does accommodation in this resort cost on average?
Prices vary considerably according to the season and are lowest in the first half of June and the second half of September. On the other hand, they are up to 50% higher in July and August.
Expect the following prices in high season:
- 3* hotel by the beach - around 66 eur per night in a 2-bed room
- 5* hotel by the beach - around 202 eur per night in a 2-bed room
- 3* hotel in the centre (about 15 minutes walk from the beach) - from 48 eur per night in a 2-bed room
