What to see at the aquarium?
The aquarium has many tanks with a total volume of over 19 million litres of salt and fresh water and is divided into several main circuits:
- Level One - A small exhibit with crocodiles and tropical coastal waters.
- Ground Floor - the popular penguin pool, coral atoll, seahorse pier, mangrove coastal waters
- Level B1 - Ocean Invaders, an interactive exhibit of the strangest sea creatures
- Level B2 - the fairy tale world of a mermaid or the wreck of an old pirate ship

Admission and opening hours
Open every day. Opening hours are 10am-5pm on weekdays. Weekends and public holidays are open 9:30-17:00. For a detailed schedule of opening hours, please visit the official website.
Last entry is always one hour before closing time.

- If you are buying your aquarium ticket online in advance, this combination ticket is not worthwhile as the most expensive entry to the Skydeck is 39 aud

The aquarium is centrally located on the banks of the River Yarra about 10 minutes walk from both Southern Cross and Flinders Street stations.
