The exceptionally rugged limestone coastline between Port Campbell and Peterborough hides an unassuming cove with a unique cave formed by a rock arch.

The Grotto is a beautiful and relatively little-visited site just a 2-minute drive from the more famous London Bridge.

The Grotto is a magical place. A short wooden staircase takes you all the way down below the cliff to a place that is part cave, part rock bridge and part sea vent that fills a natural pool.

However, swimming is forbidden here due to the very dangerous waves.

The Grotto is located just off the main road and there is a free car park with a footpath about 150 metres away.

The V/Line bus line does not stop here.
