Norway's fourth largest airport, Trondheim-Værnes, is located 35 km east of the city centre and serves as a small regional hub for flights to smaller Norwegian cities.
Most flights from Trondheim go to Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. However, there are also regular flights to several destinations in Western Europe, Poland and resorts in Southern Europe.
The airport is mainly used by Norwegian, SAS and the local Wideroe. However, tickets can also be purchased on the airline websites klm.com or lufthansa.com.
Trondheim is a great starting point for trips to the national parks Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella, Forollohogna or Rondane. It is also close to the Swedish ski resorts of Åre and Duved.
You can also combine a trip to the Swedish mountains with Östersund OSD airport on the Swedish side.
