The airport on Taiwan's popular Penghu Island, known for its beaches, sand dunes, underwater life and beautiful green countryside, is the fifth busiest in the country.

The airport is located in the middle of the largest island in the Pescadores archipelago.

Some search engines know the airport by its former name, Magong, after the largest town in the archipelago, which is located about 7km from the terminal.

Regular flights are domestic only to the islands of Taiwan, Kinmen or Qimei. Most flights are to Taipei Songshan TSA and Kaohsiung KHH airports, with up to 10 flights a day.
