Mexico's national carrier is one of the founding members of SkyTeam and the country's largest airline. Its main base is at Mexico City Airport, with the cities of Monterrey and Guadalajara serving as other major hubs. Aeromexico operates a modern fleet of more than 130 aircraft, mostly from Boeing and Embraer. Long-haul flights are operated exclusively by modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Although there are horrific rumours about AeroMexico circulating on the internet, they relate more to the lax attitude of customer service staff on domestic routes, not to the safety of operations or perhaps the age of the aircraft.
