Getting from Lima Airport

Lima

Lima's wealthiest district, Miraflores, is served by express buses or minibuses run by two private companies. The journey time is around 90 minutes.

In addition to the official taxis, the Uber mobile app is very popular in Lima and works for travel to/from the airport. It takes 75-90 minutes to get to Miraflores and about 30-45 minutes to the historic centre.

Tip for hotels near Parque Kennedy

If you don't want to spend a long time looking for accommodation after arriving in Lima by bus, we recommend these hotels right on Parque Kennedy:

Car rental

If you are only heading to Lima, renting a car is not worth it due to the extremely unorganized and chaotic traffic.

If you want to venture out of the airport and into the mountains, there are several local and large multinational car rental companies.

Prices for weekly rentals start at 165 usd.

City buses (Colectivos)

There is no conventional public transport to the airport. While there are dozens of different minibus lines running along the main road outside the terminal, you can't fit inside with a small backpack.

There are no timetables or line routes marked anywhere, and drivers and passengers almost never speak English.
