El Hierro Airport, often referred to as Valverde after the island's largest town 8km away, is the main entry point to El Hierro, the smallest of the Canary Islands.
The local airport has regular flights 7-9 times a day to Tenerife-Norte Airport and 1-2 times a day to Gran Canaria Airport.
Most flights to El Hierro are operated by Binter Canarias, with Canaryfly also flying in 2-3 times a week.
