Daxing Airport is the newest airport serving China's capital Beijing and surpasses even the giant airport in size Peking-Capital PEKwhich remains the main international hub for Beijing.
Daxing is located 46 km from Tianamnen Square in central Beijing and 65 km from Beijing Capital Airport.
Commissioned in 2019, the North Terminal is currently the largest airport building in the world.
About 85% of domestic flights within China fly out of Beijing Daxing Airport, but airlines also move some international flights, including long-haul flights, here from Beijing Capital Airport.
