Find out what services and facilities are available at Algiers Airport. Where is the best place to eat and where to shop?
Internet and wi-fi
Connect to the internet with a password purchased from kiosks or airport shops for 250 dzd for 30 minutes or 420 dzd for 60 minutes.
Don't delay buying a physical sim card on arrival. Get an Algerian data e-sim quickly and easily on the web airalo.com.
ATMs and exchange offices
The exchange offices at the airport are operated only by the National Bank of Algeria with official exchange rates. In Algiers you will often encounter an illegal money exchange market and, for example, official taxi drivers will often offer you a better rate.
Remember, however, that it is illegal to exchange anywhere outside the official money changers in Algeria.
There are also several Algerian bank ATMs in the arrivals hall, where international cards work without problems.
Shops and supermarket
You won't find a regular grocery supermarket or at least a mini-market or newsagent at the airport. In the public area, you can buy water or a sandwich in small cafés, for example.
Most shops are located after security in the international departure area.
Here you will find shops selling local products and souvenirs, fashion or books.
Dining options
Algeria's airport is relatively poorly equipped with restaurants. There are only 4 restaurants in the domestic terminal (of which only 1 after security).
The international terminal has 5 restaurants in the transit area and 4 restaurants in the public area. Of the well-known international brands, only the Segafredo café is present.
Luggage storage
Algiers Airport does not have luggage storage or automatic lockers.
