Garuda Indonesia is a classic network airline offering connecting flights.
Due to its membership of SkyTeam, you can also meet Garuda on codeshare services with other partner airlines, especially KLM, China Southern Airlines, China Airlines and Korean Air.
However, Garuda also works with other non-SkyTeam airlines in the form of interline partnerships.

Ticket prices and when to buy
Garuda Indonesia is one of the more expensive airlines within Indonesia, especially on domestic flights. One-way tickets from Jakarta to destinations in nearby Java, Sumatra, Borneo or Bali are around 100 eur, while you can pay for flights to more distant parts of Indonesia via 300 eur.
On international routes, Garuda often has good value connecting flights between China or the Philippines and Australia with a stopover in Jakarta.
This makes it worthwhile to book your flights about 1-3 months before departure.
