Edelweiss Air baggage

Edelweiss, Airbus A320

The baggage conditions are different if you are flying with Edelweiss only without a connecting flight to/from Zurich and if you are flying on a connecting flight with Swiss.

If you are flying to/from Zurich without a connecting flight, hand luggage and checked baggage are always included in the ticket price.

The table below shows the conditions for the cheapest fare.

Hand luggage

A standard hand luggage bag of 55 x 40 x 23 cm up to 8 kg and one small personal item of 40 x 30 x 10 cm is always included in the ticket price.

If you are using a connecting Swiss flight, Swiss rules apply on this section, but the rules for cabin baggage are the same as Edelweiss.

Checked baggage

If you only use Edelweiss from/to Zurich without a connecting flight, all fares (including the cheapest Ecomomy Saver) always include checked baggage up to 23 kg.

However, if you buy a ticket on swiss.com with Edelweiss on a trip with a connection in Zurich where at least one flight is operated by Swiss, checked baggage is not included in the lowest fare.

It is always worth buying the more expensive Economy Basic fare, which already includes a checked bag up to 23 kg.

Baggage for infants

Children under 2 years of age cannot have their own hand luggage on board.

However, you can always carry a pushchair free of charge.
