Edelweiss Air is a classic network carrier and offers free check-in at the airport.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport counter is free of charge.
You can check in at Zurich Airport at any time between 5:00 and 21:45, up to a maximum of 23 hours before departure. At other airports, the counters open 2-3 hours before travel.
Online check-in
You can check in online via your mobile phone or computer at flyedelweiss.com/check-in or via swiss.com if you have purchased your ticket from Swiss.
Check-in is available 23 hours before departure and the latest you can generate your boarding pass is 1 hour before departure.
You can keep your boarding passes on your phone and present them at the airport with a readable QR code from your mobile phone display.
You can also check in via the mobile check-in app of any Lufthansa Group airline, preferably Swiss or Lufthansa.
Seat selection
The selection of a specific seat is subject to a fee for all economy class fares.
On routes within Europe, you can pay for a seat from 17 chf and on long-haul routes to America or Africa, the price starts at 35 chf.
You can skip the seat selection and you will be assigned a random seat for free. If you are travelling with more than one person, the system will usually seat you next to each other.
