Cat Cat village is the closest "ethnic" village to the town of Sapa, which made it very popular among tourists and nowadays it functions a bit like an open-air museum. Here you can see the traditional dwellings and life of one of the most famous mountain ethnic groups, the Black Hmong.

The village is just two kilometres from Sapa town, so it's easy to get here on foot from the centre. Of course, you can also use a rented scooter or a local taxi.
What to see in Cat Cat Village
A visit to Cat Cat Village is the easiest way to see the traditional village and houses of Vietnam's hill ethnic groups. Although today most locals make a living solely by providing tourist services or selling souvenirs, the village used to be very authentic. Today, Cat Cat is also a good place with a wide range of traditional souvenirs such as indigo dyed clothes.
Admission to Cat Cat village
Nowadays you have to pay an entrance fee to enter Cat Cat village, you will meet the stall on the way from Sapa town. If you come to the village from elsewhere, you do not have to pay to enter. At present, you have to pay for a ticket 150 000 vnd per person.
