Chicken Island

Chicken Island

Chicken Island is a small island in the Andaman Sea that got its unusual name from an interesting rock formation. It resembles a chicken head.

Tourists also head for the beautiful beach here, and at low tide there is a sandy strip that connects Chicken Island with the neighbouring islets.

Entrance fees and opening hours

Like other islands in the area, Chicken Island is part of Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park, and there is a fee to enter the national park 400 thb per adult.

Accommodation on Chicken Island

There is no accommodation on the island, so you can only go here for a day trip. Ideally, you should stay in the resort of Ao Nang, where organised tours leave regularly every day.
