Andalusia is famous for its beautiful villages with whitewashed houses that shine against the brown and green mountains. Almost every major resort has one of these villages more prominent than the others. And one such case is the village of Ojén in the hills above Marbella.

Ojén is the perfect place to hike from the sea if you don't feel like doing the more strenuous hiking in the Sierra Blanca. Visit the narrow winding and very steep streets of Ojén, stop in the quiet restaurants and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Ojén is drowned in a valley between two mountain slopes and literally squeezed into the hills.

Accommodation

If you want to swap the big hotel complexes for more romantic accommodation, at least for a day, then Ojén is the place to be. However, due to little competition, expect prices from 92 eur per night upwards. The absolute best rated accommodation in Ojén is the 3* La Posada del Angel.

Transportation

As well as by car, Oijén can be reached by two Avanza bus routes from Marbella. The L-80 line runs about 5 times a day and continues on into the mountains to Coín, while the L-82 only runs between Marbella and Ojén.
