Port Vell

Port Vell

Strolling along the quiet harbour along the beautiful new promenades, having fun in the shopping centres or the aquarium, or enjoying the extraordinary and monumental columns of the cable car. This is Port Vell, the old harbour that was transformed into a new tourist district before the 1992 Olympic Games.

The port is dominated by the old Art Nouveau Port Customs building, located at the end of La Rambla, under the Christopher Columbus monument.

A newly built pontoon promenade called La Rambla de Mar leads from the old customs building to the large Maremagnum shopping centre or Europe's 5th largest aquarium.
