Avenida Aliados

The heart of Porto and the city's most important avenue stretches from São Bento Station to the Town Hall and the Church of the Holy Trinity.

Book a hotel in the centre of Porto

Avenida dos Aliados is more like a long stretch of square with a large pedestrianised area in the middle, and is a popular place for locals to meet and celebrate sporting events or New Year's Eve.

Interesting buildings, shops and restaurants

In the exhibition buildings you will find the most luxurious shops and restaurants, as well as hotels.

The southern end of the street is dominated by the statue of Peter the Great of Brazil on horseback, where locals most often make appointments.

The street is dominated by the Town Hall building at its highest point in the north, with its 70-metre high Town Hall Tower (completed in 1955).

Accommodation on Avenida dos Aliados

This avenue is the centrepiece of the whole of Porto and if you're not quite so keen on the higher prices, accommodation on Avenida dos Aliados is the most practical option.

The cheapest accommodation on Aliados costs from 110 eur per night at hotels such as Universal ** or Aliados ***.
