On nice days, head to the large botanical garden, which is part of the Natural History Museum. In addition to the outdoor exhibitions, you can visit two small greenhouses with exotic plants.
Due to the harsher conditions of the Norwegian climate, you will mainly find plants and tree species from northern and central Europe, the tundra or the taiga in the botanical garden.
The outdoor areas are not in bloom until about mid-May.
Entrance fees and opening hours
A very nice fact is that the botanical garden is open for free.
It is open daily from 7:00 am. Between April and September it closes at 21:00 and at 17:00 the rest of the year.
