Hiking

Monte Penna and the general area around the Sanctuary of La Verna is a great place for hiking with plenty of marked trails.

Despite the considerable elevation, there are easy short routes more or less on the contour as well as more challenging longer trails.

The surrounding countryside is truly picturesque, alternating between forests, mountains and peaceful-looking vineyards.

You can find excellent walking routes, for example, on the mapy.cz website.
