Piazzale Michelangelo is the most popular viewpoint in Florence and one of the most visited views in all of Italy.

The views from here are depicted on many postcards and promotional materials, and despite their worldwide fame, it's definitely worth heading here in person.

How to get there

Piazzale Michelangelo is less than 1km from the centre as the crow flies, but there is a steep hill with several staircases on the way up.
