This is the house where Dante is said to have been born. Today, the house serves as a museum that depicts his life and work.

Inside the museum, you'll see Dante's manuscripts, paintings and examples of his birth home. He lived in Florence at the end of the 13th century.

Admission and opening hours

From April to October, the museum is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. In winter it remains closed on Mondays and closes at 5pm during the working week.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adult: 8 eur
  • Youth under 18: 5 eur
