Getting around Bologna

Santa Maria dela Vita

A quick glance at a map of Bologna and the places to see will show you that you don't have to worry about traffic. The town centre is barely 3 kilometres across and unless you are staying in the surrounding villages, you won't even use the local bus service.

On foot

The best way to explore Bologna is on your own two feet. Walk all the nooks and crannies leisurely twice around and with the right choice of accommodation in Bologna, you'll still have enough energy to hike up one of the towers of Le due Torri.

Just watch out for passing scooters as you move through the centre. Cars are not allowed in the centre.
