The pleasant little resort of Sarti can be found in the south-east of the middle spur of Chalkidiki called Sithonia.

The area around Sarti will delight you with its beautiful Sardinian-like nature - a coastline with white cliffs forming small indented coves with sandy beaches, slopes thickly covered with pine trees and crystal clear water.

Right in Sarti, which is one of the very quiet resorts, you'll find all the basic facilities from numerous tavernas to a pharmacy to a supermarket.

Beaches and swimming

Right in Sarti you will discover the largest beach in the area, the 1 km long spacious Paralia Sartis with its fine white sand. In the northern part, which extends right into the centre of the village, you can rent a sun lounger and umbrella in several places and take advantage of the many refreshment facilities.

The entrance to the sea is very gradual and safe, and Sarti is also ideal for families with children due to its calmness during the evenings.

Around 3 km north of Sarti you will come across one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Halkidiki, which is Paralia Kavourortypes.

The small beach is squeezed into a rocky shoreline with white stones in a nature untouched by civilization, the seabed with its combination of sand, rugged rocks and crystal waters creates ideal conditions for snorkeling.

Kavourotrypes can only be reached by car, from the main road you have to drive a short stretch of about 200m on a sandy road, but all cars can easily pass it (see route map from Sarti). Parking is free here.

On the other hand, about 4 km south of Sarti, you will find the beach of Sikias in the small village of the same name, which has very similar parameters to Sarti beach, but is situated in an even more idyllic rural setting. In the immediate vicinity of Sikias, you will then come across several other small beaches in smaller coves surrounded by rocks that create an exotic impression of a divine paradise.

Accommodation in Sarti

Sarti is also popular with individual travellers, especially for its swimming opportunities at several secluded beaches in the area. Just be aware that accommodation is fast running out in the summer and book six months in advance.

Hotel prices are friendly and range from 44 eur in low season to 92 eur in high season.

For hotels, we recommend the highly rated and modern Hotel Olga*, and for apartments, the House Katerina Mediterranean.

How to get to Sarti?

The resort is 130 km from Thessaloniki Airport and can be reached in less than 2 hours by car. Most of the local accommodation offers free parking and even the parking lots at the beaches are free. It's definitely best to go to Sarti by rental car due to the inaccessibility of the smaller beaches in the area by bus.
