Where to stay in Halkidiki
The main resorts are concentrated on the Kassandra Peninsula, dominated by long, flat beaches and lively resorts.
The middle peninsula of Sithonia will also offer plenty of accommodation options, but in smaller resorts with more photogenic beaches by small coves.
The peninsula of Athos, most of which is occupied by the monastic republic of Mount Athos with its very strict entrance, has the fewest resorts.
For tips on specific hotels or apartments in each place, see the What to see chapter.
Resorts - Kassandra Spur

Expect prices in high season for a 2-bed room to range from 55 eur upwards.

Resorts - Sithonia
The Sithonia peninsula is very different from Kassandra. The flat coastline is interspersed with rugged coves with photogenic white cliffs and densely covered green hills. The local beaches are smaller but prettier to look at, on the other hand, outside the resort centres, accessible only by car.
Prices in the larger resorts in Sithonia tend to be lower than in Kassandra, while in the more remote villages in the southeast of Sithonia, where you'll find the most beautiful beaches, they're higher, starting at 92 eur per night in high season. Some of the smallest towns aren't even offered by Czech travel companies.

Accommodation prices in Halkidiki
Chalkidiki is not out of line with the average price of other Greek beach areas. In apartments and fully equipped studios you can get a night in a 2 bed room from 0 eur 18 eur , classic hotels start at prices from 84 eur.
In the low season, i.e. June and September, prices in apartments drop well below 37 eur, and in hotels below 48 eur per night.
