For an interesting theme park, visit the pretty inland village of Stagira, which lies amidst densely wooded hills about 26 km from the resort of Olympiada, where the excavations of ancient Stagira are located.
The park presents in an interactive way the scientific knowledge and teachings of the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle, who was born in ancient Stagira.
In the park you can try or explore especially the physical instruments in which Aristotle had a minimal part in, for example:
- the compass
- the telescope
- a sundial
- a prism that creates a rainbow
- optical discs
- pendulum
- parabolic reflectors
- and many more
All exhibitions are displayed in the open air in a nicely landscaped park about 200 meters long and 50 meters wide.
Admission and opening hours
During the summer, the park is open daily from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
