Every summer since 2002, the Paris Plages, or Paris Beaches, have opened right in the historic centre of Paris on the banks of the Seine River. The popular spot, with its sun loungers, parasols and artificially imported unadulterated fine sand, creates an ideal space to relax on warm summer days.
