The magnificent neoclassical building was modelled on the Austrian architects from the Viennese firm of Fellner and Helmer, who designed, for example, the Volkstheater in Vienna.
The first performance took place here on 3 January 1907.
In front of the theatre there is a beautiful city park with a fountain.
