The southern beach in Nessebar is much more lively than the northern beach and is located more in the town.
Several hotels surround the beach, however, the southern end of the beach is already completely out of town among the sand dunes. Further on, the beach connects seamlessly with the resort of Ravda.
Beach facilities
The beach lies in the southern part of New Nessebar, whose streets are surrounded by restaurants and shops. Although livelier than the northern beach, the atmosphere here is quieter than in the neighbouring resort of Sunny Beach, especially in the evenings.
Sun loungers and parasols
Sunbeds and parasols are available along the entire length of the beach and can be rented for 10 bgn / piece / day. So for a set of two sunbeds and a parasol you will pay 30 bgn.
There are always plenty of sunbeds available, even in high season. Just take any available sun lounger and the staff will look for you. Payment is in cash only.
The staff is present from 8:00 to 18:00, but the sun loungers remain free to use all night from 18:00 to 8:00.
Free sectors
The sections of the beach where you can set up your own equipment at no charge are at the north end, and then the entire south end is free.
Toilets and showers
There are no public toilets on the beach, but you can use the toilets in the restaurants, some of which make them available even if you don't order anything from the restaurant.
Freshwater showers are not usually available, especially as most hotels are within a 10-minute walk of the beach.
Restaurants and shops
The beach is out of town, and you'll find the larger restaurants, bistros and souvenir shops mainly at the southern end.
Hotels by the beach
There are several well-rated hotels along the beach. We would choose from these two hotels:
