Citizens of many countries do not need a visa to travel to Brunei. However, you must always fill in two electronic forms - a health card and an arrival card - before departure.
Visa
Residents of visa-free countries can stay in Brunei for between 14 and 90 days.
Although some countries have visa requirements, you can obtain a visa on arrival at the airport or border crossing without visiting an embassy.
If your country is not on the list below, you will need to arrange a Brunei visa at the embassy for a fee 20 bnd.

Countries with visa-free travel
Citizens of these countries can visit Brunei free of charge without a visa for 14-90 days:

Visa-on-arrival countries
Upon arrival or arrival in the country, you will visit a special counter where you will be issued a visa for 30 days for a fee 20 bnd.

Other documents and forms
When travelling to Brunei, your passport must be valid for 6 months after you enter Brunei.
You must also fill out two online forms (both free) before departure:
- E-Arrival Card – imm.gov.bn
- Health form - can only be completed via the BruHealth mobile app (Google Play / App Store)
These forms will be checked before departure during check-in at the airport.
Customs regulations
There are no restrictions on the importation of foreign currencies except for Singapore Dollars (maximum 1 000 sgd) and Indian Rupees (no importation).
Although the sale of alcohol is prohibited in Brunei, it is possible to import your own alcohol into the country in the following quantities:
- 2 litres of wine or hard liquor
- 12 cans of beer of 0,33 l
Cigarettes are restricted as follows:
- 200 cigarettes
- 250 g of tobacco
Any amount of drugs is subject to the death penalty!
