Bandar Seri Begawan is a small town with a relatively small but sufficient number of hotels.

You will find the best value for money at several local hotels where you can pay per night from 53 usd.

• Badi'ah Hotel **** - One of the cheapest standard hotels, it is located outside the centre but can be reached on foot over the pedestrian bridge in 15 minutes
• Al Afiah Hotel *** - well rated hotel near the Jame Asr' Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque and about 5 minutes by taxi to the centre (4,50 bnd)

If you want to stay right in the centre of Bandar Seri Begawan, be prepared for prices starting from 90 usd per night.

• The Brunei Hotel *** - The most popular hotel for tourists is right in the heart of the city just next to the bus station and the waterfront, where tourist buses go to the jungle or motorboats go to the water village
• Radisson Hotel Brunei Darussalam ***** - the only hotel of a large international chain is about 5 minutes walk from the centre and offers very good value for money

Stylish accommodation in the water village

A unique experience is staying right in the Kampong Ayer water village, where all the houses are built on stilts in the river and wooden walkways lead between them.
