The Melbourne Museum is the largest part of the Museums of Victoria institution and has been voted the best tourist attraction in the city several times.
The main building sits on the site of the International Exhibition held in 1881 directly opposite the historic Royal Exhibition Building.

The main part of the building functions as a natural history museum with many very interesting exhibits including the skeletons of small dinosaurs.

The adult ticket price is 15 aud.
You can buy your ticket online or at the door for the same price, and long queues do not usually form.
The museum is open every day from 9:00-17:00, but the last entry is at 16:30.
