At the airport itself, expect nothing more than check-in and flight services. However, you can use the nearby area to buy refreshments or withdraw money from the ATM.
ATM
Directly in front of the airport building across the road is the only ATM on the island. However, we recommend that you do not rely on withdrawing money on the spot, but rather fly to the island with cash already on board.
Refreshments
About 30 metres from the airport is a larger open-air building where you will find about a dozen restaurants offering Malaysian food and drinks. Prices are normal and the restaurants are mostly used by locals.
Beach
If you have a longer wait for your flight, you can swim at the local beach, Pantai Kampung Tekek, which is north of the airport and accessible after about a 50-metre walk.
