The terminal is home to many car rental companies and bus routes from Santa Cruz, Puerto Cruz and La Laguna.
Car rental
Car rental booths are located in the arrivals hall. The vast majority of rental companies operating in Tenerife are based at the airport. It is always best to book a car in advance for the lowest possible price.
Weekly rental prices range from around 150 eur in the winter season for a small car to 350 eur in the summer season.
Avoid unserious car rental companies such as Goldcar, OK Mobility or TopCar.
Rental counters can be found in the baggage claim area and in the public area of the arrivals hall.
Public transport - buses
Tenerife has an extensive and high-quality bus network, which you can also use to get to the airport. For detailed information on travelling around the island, please visit our guide and the Tenerife Transport section.
All buses stop in the basement. From the arrivals hall you have to take the escalator down one floor.

Santa Cruz and La Laguna direction
Bus line 20 runs directly from the airport to the largest city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, stopping in La Laguna.
At night, line 104 runs once an hour.
The bus is express and stops only at the main bus stations of both cities.

Line 20 stops only at the main bus station "Intercambiador", where it stops at platform 39 outside on the street near the tram stop. The buses therefore do not go directly into the bus station building.
Direction Puerto de la Cruz
Line 30 runs to the centre of the popular resort of Puerto de la Cruz, with a few stops along the way. You can also use line 343 4 times a day.
At night, line 104 runs once an hour.

Direction Tenerife-South Airport (TFS), Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje
Direct connection to the resorts of Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife, as well as to Tenerife's second airport, Sur (TFS), is provided 4-5 times a day by line 343.
The route is an express service with no stops, taking 50 minutes to Sur airport and 90 minutes to Los Cristianos.
Ticket prices are 9,70 eur to Sur Airport and 12,40 eur to Los Cristianos

Tickets and where to buy them
In addition to the individual tickets listed above, which are useful if you won't be travelling by bus very often, you can also buy more convenient tourist tickets.
You must always add 2 eur to the price for a card that you can use to top up other tickets:
- 24-hour ticket - 10 eur
- 7-day ticket - 50 eur
If you are travelling in a large group of people. but also on your own for shorter distances, a ticket with the name Ten+Wallet. You can top up your ticket with a credit of between €2 and €100 at your discretion. This is then deducted according to the distance travelled, and the fare is around 20% cheaper than if you bought individual tickets.
Even for multiple people, a single card is enough.
However, the ten+ Wallet card is currently not available at the airport. The ten+ Wallet can be purchased at the main bus stations in Santa Cruz, Puerto Cruz or La Laguna, for example.
All other tickets can be purchased from the driver (card and cash payment) or on the ten+ móvil mobile app.
Taxi / Uber
The taxi stand is located in the arrivals hall. You can order a taxi at the counter, but pay directly to the taxi driver. You can always pay by card or cash.
All official taxis run according to the meter, and the current prices are as follows:
- Extra charge for travel to/from the airport - 2,10 eur
- Starting rate - 3,85 eur (or 4,25 eur on weekdays between 22:00 and 6:00 and on weekends + holidays all day)
- Price per 1 km - 1,55 eur (or 4,25 eur on weekdays between 22:00 and 6:00 and on weekends + holidays all day)
Average prices to the centres of the following cities are:
- Santa Cruz de Tenerife - 25 eur
- Puerto de la Cruz - 43 eur
- La Laguna - 14 eur
Tenerife also has a mobile app, but prices are similar or even higher than official taxis and the availability of cars is significantly less than taxis.
