The bus stop is located about 60 metres to the right of the terminal.

The airport is served by Stagecoach line 6 buses. Fares to all destinations are 3 gbp and can be purchased from the driver by card or cash.

A quicker route to Durham or Newcastle is via Darlington and then by train. Conversely, if you are heading to Middlesbrough, the quicker route is via Stockton-on-Tees.
