Tawau Airport in a nutshell

Tawau

The small Tawau International Airport is located in the eastern part of the Malaysian island of Borneo, about 35 km west of Tawau town and 80 km east of the Semporna archipelago.

This airport is the closest to the renowned dive sites of Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai, islands within the Semporna Archipelago.

The airport has a very small but modern terminal meeting all the standards of modern airports. Orientation here is very easy and you can walk the entire concourse in 2 minutes.

The busiest connection (several flights a day) is to Kuala Lumpur, which is served by three airlines - AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines and Batik Air. The second most frequent destination is Sabah's largest city - Kota Kinabalu.

Direct scheduled flights run several times a week to Macau.
