Headquartered at Kuala Lumpur Airport, Malaysia National Airlines is one of the most important airlines in the region.

Despite facing aggressive and huge low-cost carriers AirAsia and Batik Air, it still maintains a significant share of domestic flights within Malaysia and international routes, including long-haul routes to Europe and Australia.

Malaysia Airlines operates two subsidiary airlines for short regional flights: MASWings and Firefly.

The airline's fleet includes over 40 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, over 20 Airbus A330-200/300 aircraft, Airbus A330-900 aircraft as well as state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft.
