Salalah Airport offers convenient connections to the city centre by bus and to the surrounding area by taxi. If you have purchased your holiday in Salalah with a travel agent, transport is provided by shuttle buses going directly to the hotel resorts.

Shuttle buses

Once you collect your luggage and leave the airport area, a delegate will be waiting to give you the bus number. There are usually 3 to 6 buses waiting outside the airport, marked with a number on the front door.

You don't have to look hard for buses. Just walk out the first door out of the terminal and you will see them.

City bus

Individual travelers can use the number 21 city bus to get to the Mwasalat bus station in downtown Salalah.

The buses are operated by Mwasalat and you will find the bus stop right outside the terminal in the second lane behind the taxi stand.

Buses leave the airport at approximately 45 minute intervals. The first service leaves at 7:40 and the last at 22:15. In the other direction, the first service from the bus station leaves at 7:00 and the last at 22:20.

The journey time is 35 minutes and the ticket costs 400 Baisa, i.e. 0,4 omr.

Taxi

You can also use taxi services to get from the airport. You will always find several cars available during the day, even in the evening.

The official fare list can be found on the terminal wall before boarding. To get to the city centre from the airport, go to 7 omr.

Car rental

There are several international and local car rental companies at Salála Airport. The car rental offices are located on the ground floor and can be reached by elevator or escalators.
