Philadelphia International Airport in a nutshell

Philadelphia

Philadelphia is a large international airport located about 15 km from downtown on the banks of the Delaware River.

It serves as a major transfer point and one of the largest bases for American Airlines and Frontier Airlines.

Due to its not very friendly looking facilities and sometimes very long and chaotic lines at security or immigration, the airport is often referred to as "hell on earth", but the reality is not so drastic.

There are very frequent flights from Philadelphia to about a hundred destinations in the USA. Many international routes are mainly to European and Caribbean destinations.
