Melbourne Moorabbin Airport in a nutshell

St. Kilda Pier

The small Moorabbin Airport on the map can be found 23 km south-east of Melbourne city centre.

It is a very small airport serving mainly general aviation, sport and training flights.

However, Moorabbin currently has one scheduled service, which is operated several times a day by King Island Airlines with small aircraft for 9 to 19 people.

As the airline's name suggests, this route is bound for King Island. There are a large number of hangars and buildings for the various airline operators around the Moorabbin airport area. All King Island Airlines flights are handled in the small terminal on First Ave (see map).

Other services to King Island are operated by Rex Airlines from the main Melbourne-Tullamarine Airport and Sharp Airlines from another small airport , Melbourne-Essendon.
