The terminal is 4 km from the city centre and about 5 km from Foggia Station.
Car rental
Despite the very light traffic at the airport, there are several rental companies (Sicily by Car, Budget, Avis). Weekly rental prices vary between 200 eur and 300 eur, depending on the season.
Book your car well in advance, as local car rental companies have limited capacity.
Bus to Foggia
The ATAF public transport bus stop is located on the main road about 70 metres from the terminal. Timetables and route maps can be found on the website: ataf.fg.it
Buses passing the airport are marked with the sign "AEROPORTO" behind the windscreen. The stops are not announced or displayed, so ideally check the online location on your phone to get off.
All stops in Foggia are on a sign, which you give by pressing the "stop" button when exiting or waving your hand when boarding.
The following lines pass by the airport once an hour (Monday to Saturday):
- Line 17 - from the main station
- The journey from the station takes 15 minutes, the journey to the station takes about 30 minutes.
- the line is semi-circular, when leaving the terminal there is a stop towards the centre at the nearer edge of the road (i.e. southbound), the line later turns back north towards the centre and the station
- Lines 18 and 19 - from the main station and from the centre
- the journey from the station takes 25 minutes
- both lines are semi-circular
- line 18 is faster for the journey from the airport, while line 19 is faster for the journey to the airport
On Sundays and public holidays, only line F6 runs to the airport from the centre and from the main station, approximately once every two hours.
You will pay for a ticket 1 eur. The ticket is valid for 1 hour and can be bought in newsagents, bars and bistros. The ticket costs 1,20 eur.
You can't buy a ticket at the airport, preferably using the MyCicero mobile app, through which you can also buy a ticket for 1 eur.
Bus to Gargano and Bari
There are also direct Pugliairbus minibuses from the airport to the Gargano peninsula and also to Bari airport. To get to the airport, you need to make a reservation online at: shop.marozzivt.it/en
The buses follow the flight schedule and go to the following destinations:
- Manfredonia - 4,80 eur
- Mattinata - 5,60 eur
- Vieste - 9,60 eur
- Peschici - 11,10 eur
- San Menaio - 11,90 eur
- Rodi Garganico - 12,10 eur
- Bari Airport - 11,90 eur
Taxi
There are no mobile apps operating in the city and due to very light traffic, taxis cannot be expected at the airport.
Getting from the centre to the airport is no problem, especially from the main station where there are always plenty of taxis waiting.
The price is approximately 12 eur and payment can only be made in cash.
