Named after an Italian aviator named Gino Lisa, this very small airport is located about 4 km south of Foggia and 105 km from the popular Gargano peninsula.
Gino Lisa Airport has only one small terminal. The waiting area offers about 50 seats after security check, the rest of the passengers have to stand. The whole check-in process takes about 20 minutes.
Currently, Foggia serves as a base for two Lumiwings aircraft flying to Italian destinations as well as charter international flights.
Foggia also has regular helicopter flights operated by Alidaunia to Vieste on the Gargano or to the Tremiti Islands.
The larger Bari Airport is 126 km to the south, while Naples Airport is 172 km away.
