The airport is connected to the northern part of Dakar by a bus line and a modern railway is under construction.

It is better to use taxis to get to the centre. Expect a taxi ride time of about 60-90 minutes depending on traffic and a price of 16,000 francs during the day.

Public transport - buses

Bus transport with modern and air-conditioned buses in Dakar is provided by DemDikk.

There is an express bus service to the airport called the "Navette Aeroport" called the AIBD Express. The bus stops in the HLM Grand Yoff area at the bus station in front of the Leopold Sedar-Senghor National Stadium, see the location of the bus stop on the map.

Train

The modern TER rail line is currently under construction and currently only runs on the Dakar - Diamniadio section. It is expected to be completed to the airport around 2026.
