The second largest airport in the Philippines is located on the small island of Mactan, which is connected by a bridge to the larger island and the eponymous city of Cebu. Hence the official name of the airport is Mactan-Cebu.
The low-cost airline Cebu Pacific has one of its bases here. The airport's route network is extensive and includes domestic connections as well as international flights, mainly around Asia. The Manila - Cebu route is one of the busiest in the world with connections up to several times an hour.
The single terminal is quite large, rugged and outdated, which makes it a little difficult to navigate, but a new section is currently being upgraded and added.
It is open 24 hours.
