The most convenient transport is the popular mobile apps Uber or Ola, as well as regular taxis with prices between Rs 1,100 and Rs 2,000. The journey to the city centre takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
The airport is also served by several air-conditioned city bus lines and the metro stops here. For getting to the centre, the fastest bus is the KIAB-9 line at 240 rupees.
Taxi/Uber/Ola
Taxi is the most convenient and most used mode of transport to downtown Bangalore.
You prepay for official taxis at the arrivals hall and pay nothing to the taxi driver after that.
Usually, the mobile apps Uber or Ola will offer lower prices and are available at both terminals.
Average prices to central Bangalore are as follows:
- Taxi - 2 000 inr
- Uber / Ola - 1 100 inr
Buses
There is a city bus stop in front of both terminals. Only buses with air-conditioned modern vehicles run to the airport.
You can pay your ticket inside the bus to the conductor or driver in cash or via the Indian payment system UPI.
Official information and timetables can be found on the airport website: bengaluruairport.com/airport-VayuVajra

Railways
Approximately 3.5 km from the terminals is the railway station "Kempegowda International Airport", where commuter trains running from downtown Bangalore stop.
The trains are often very crowded and not very frequent (running about 8 times a day).
Although there is a free shuttle bus from the train station to the terminals, this mode of transport is not recommended. It has no advantages over buses.
