Austin Airport has two terminals that are not connected and each building is located at the opposite end of the airport.
The terminals are divided by airline.
- Barbara Jordan Terminal - the main, modern and spacious building equipped with many restaurants and services handles these airlines:

- South Terminal - A very small and cramped building with one restaurant and check-in counters serving some low-cost airlines:
- Allegiant Air
- Frontier Airlines.
Transportation between the terminals is provided only by the free airport shuttle bus through the public landside area. The shuttle bus runs approximately every 20 minutes at times on the current flight schedule. The journey between terminals takes approximately 20 minutes.
Transfer between flights
San Antonio is not one of the main US transfer hubs.
However, some airlines, such as Southwest Airlines, offer guaranteed transfers here.
Domestic -> Domestic, International
The vast majority of transfers take place between two domestic flights within the US. In this case, the transfer is very simple: you get off the plane straight into the departure gate area. There is no security check.
The same procedure applies if you are transferring from a domestic flight to an international flight. There is no security or immigration check and your luggage will be automatically transferred.
International -> Domestic, international
If you arrive in San Antonio on an international flight, you always have to go through immigration (queues up to 60 minutes), collect your luggage and check in again.
Hotels near the airport
Stay before your early morning departure in a convenient proximity to the terminal. There are several hotels to choose from.
All of the hotels listed below offer free private airport transfers.
In addition, you can also walk from these two hotels to the main "Barbara Jordan" terminal in about 7 minutes if necessary:
