Getting from Austin Airport

Austin

Public transport to the city centre is provided by bus line 20, which takes approximately 35 minutes, and 1,30 usd (line 5) and 2,60 usd (line 7).

A more convenient form of transport is the many car rental companies, taxis or the mobile apps Uber and Lyft.

Car rental

Most tourists heading to Austin will already rent a car at the airport and set off on a road-trip around Texas. A car won't be a significant problem for getting around the city either.

The rental car center is in the parking garage directly across from the Barbara Johnson Terminal, which houses many different rental car companies. If you arrive at the South Terminal, you'll need to use the free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes to get to the car rentals.

Car rental prices for a week in high season are around 250 usd.
