Direct buses Vy flybussen line FB65 connect the airport with Ålesund and Moa city centres from 119 nok.
A more frequent connection is made by Turvogna's Flybusses FB61 to the dock in the nearby town of Valderøya and from there by ferry to Ålesund city centre. The total cost is 163 nok.
Car rental
From a tourist point of view, it makes the most sense to rent a car directly at the terminal. Only by car can you get to all the fjords, all the islands (the ferries are very busy) and the national parks.
Ålesund Airport has several car rental companies such as Alamo, Sixt, Budget, Avis and Europcar.
In high season, expect car rental prices for 7 days from 500 eur.

Bus direction Ålesund and Moa
Company line FB61 Vy flybussen runs through Ålesund all the way to the eastern suburb of Moa, where it terminates at a major transfer terminal for local and long-distance bus routes.

Return tickets are not sold at a discount. Tickets can also be purchased from the driver by card or cash with a surcharge 20 nok.

The bus stop is located right outside the arrivals hall exit.
Bus to Valderøya
The nearby village of Valderøya is connected to the airport by the FB65 Turvogna bus.
The line terminates at the wharf where express boats to Ålesund or slow ferries to the islands of Strandal, Trandal or Skar connect. If you're heading to Ålesund, a faster connection is offered by the direct bus line FB61, see above.

Ferries
There are several ferries running from Valderøya harbour. You can buy a ticket on the boat with a card and the price to Ålesund is 63 nok.

Taxi
Taxi is the fastest but also the most expensive means of transport. For a 20-minute ride from Vigra Airport to the centre of Alesund you will pay on average 600 nok.
There is also a mobile app in Ålesund called Uber, which offers a price from 490 nok when going to the centre.
