Passengers will only use one terminal at Vigra Airport. The building is compact, small and very clear. Departures and arrivals are located only on the ground floor, the terminal has no additional floor.
The post-security section is equipped with a large number of seats, which is sufficient even if two planes meet at the airport at the same time.
The distances are short and it will be sufficient to arrive at the airport about 65 minutes before departure.

Transfer between flights
Ålesund is not a major hub and therefore the airport does not have direct transit options.
Upon arrival, you will always go straight through the corridor to the arrivals hall, so you will always have to collect your luggage and go through security again if you need to change planes.
As the airport is very small, this whole procedure takes on average 10-20 minutes.
Overnight at the airport - opening hours
The terminal closes about 45 minutes after the last arrival and opens about 2 hours before the first morning departure.
It is therefore not possible to stay overnight at the airport.

There is no suitable accommodation in the immediate vicinity of the airport for early morning departures.
Ideally, choose a hotel in the centre of Alesund, where buses connect to all scheduled departures and arrivals.
